Chill and increase your chances of being proactive
If you can stay calm and relaxed in any given situation, you will also manage to be proactive, not reactive.
We all want to be proactive – to have choice about what we say and do and how we respond and act. Yet how many times have you left a situations and found yourself thinking “If only I hadn’t said…” or “If only I had said..”
Whenever we feel this way we were reactive, not proactive. We let ourselves get stressed by what was going on around us and reacted with flight or fight – we either went too quiet or overreacted and said something we regretted.
With a little awareness we can become proactive. And the best way to increase our proactivity is to learn to stay relaxed – no matter what is going on around us.
